DAILY COVID-19 UPDATE FOR January 30, 2022
SRJ has 137 positive inmate COVID-19 cases

24970 tests completed with 23308 negatives, 1592 positives, and 70 pending.

1046 formerly positive COVID-19 inmates have completely recovered and are still in custody.

249 formerly positive COVID-19 inmates have recovered and are no longer in custody.

160 Inmates who tested positive for COVID-19 were released from custody.

To date, 2 inmates have been admitted to the hospital due to complications from COVID-19. Of this number, 0 currently remain hospitalized.

To date, 0 inmates have died as a result of complications from COVID-19.
Staff and Contractor Statistics:

SRJ has 47 current positive staff/contractor 1cases. There has been a total of 390 contractor cases of COVID-19, and 343 have recovered.
Note: Staff members and/or contractors who test positive may not return to work until cleared pursuant to CDC Guidelines.

There are 10 RED inmates, and 137 DARK RED inmates housed in either OPHU, HU8A, HU8C. Red patients include both patients with COVID-19 symptoms awaiting test results and patients with positive COVID-19 results. (For a description of the SRJ patient color-coding system please see the Outbreak Control Plan.) Red patients will be released individually from OPHU, HU8A, or HU8C when cleared by medical.

Quarantined Housing Units:
Yellow housing units and/or pods are listed below. Quarantines in these housing units and/or pods will remain in effect until the date listed, which is a date 14 days after the 68index patient presented with symptoms, or sooner if the index case’s test results come back negative.
HU3F and 8B: N/A (These housing units are designated for yellow inmates with known exposure to a COVID-19 positive person; inmates are released from quarantine on individual dates)
HU 3 ABCDE: YELLOW quarantine due to exposure to DARK RED medical. Subject to serial testing. Release 2/9/22
HU4 C: Yellow quarantine due to exposure to Dark Red medical. To undergo serial testing. Release on 2/2/22.
HU4 D- Now Yellow Monitoring due to Dark Red Medical Exposure. To undergo serial testing. Release on 2/2/22.
HU6 AB: Now Yellow Monitoring due to Dark Red Medical Exposure- No longer undergo serial testing. Release on 1/31/2022.

Accordingly, the County and its medical provider, Wellpath, can not share personal health information about inmates with friends and family.
