Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin E. Dempsey testify at a hearing before the Senate Committee on Appropriations, subcommittee for Defense concerning the fiscal year 2013 budget at 10:30 a.m. EDT, in room 192, at the Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.

Secretary of Defense Leon E. Panetta hosts an honor cordon to welcome South Korea's Minister of National Defense Kim Kwan-jin to the Pentagon at 6:30 p.m. EDT. The cordon will be held on the steps of the Pentagon River Entrance. Journalists without a Pentagon building pass will be picked up at the Pentagon River Parking Pedestrian Bridge only.
