On Wednesday we sent our very first newsletter to the manufacturing community of over 3,100 subscribers interested in receiving MEP updates. MEP System Webcast is Happening Next Week

What's Happening in Manufacturing?

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), is offering complimentary and confidential consultation services for MEP manufacturing companies to find out about potential hazards at their worksites, improve their occupational injury and illness prevention programs, and even qualify for a one-year exemption from routine OSHA inspections.

This safety and health consultation program is completely separate from the OSHA inspection effort. In addition, no citations are issued or penalties proposed.

MEP in the News

  • CMTC launches a new completely redesigned website. A primary driver was to support mobile applications. Manufacturers don’t always have easy access on the plant floor, but most everyone today carries some kind of smart phone, iPad, tablet, etc. This new design will also assist their field staff in highlighting services that CMTC offers while at a customer site. "Make it in America" Manufacturer of the Week!

"Manex led the entire management team through an intensive “Introduction to Lean Manufacturing with Simulation program to learn the principles of Lean Manufacturing. The result was a 50% reduction in manufacturing costs on a highly complex medical device component.”

IntegenX, a client of MANEX, designs, manufactures, and markets automation systems to enable microsample preparation and analysis for the life sciences. It offers human identification products, such as the RapidHIT System, a human identification system for Rapid DNA—the process of producing standardized DNA profiles from mouth swabs and other human samples. The system is the first fully automated sample-to-answer system for STR-based human identification.
