A discussion on continued negotiations of the Transpacific Partnership Agreement and global-trade expansion will follow.

Mary Kay Inc. produces skin-care and color cosmetics for many of the company’s 35 markets around the world. As the country’s top trade diplomat, Ambassador Froman will witness firsthand how local efforts at Mary Kay are a prime example of how bolstering trade efforts is beneficial to growing the economy.

When:          Tuesday Feb. 17:

10:30 a.m. - Media to arrive at Mary Kay Manufacturing Facility
11:05 a.m. - Tour of Mary Kay facility to commence.

Where:           Mary Kay Manufacturing Facility, 1330 Regal Row

Why:             U.S. exports of cosmetics and personal-care products exceeded $11 billion in 2013. Last year alone, Mary Kay exported 57 percent of all products manufactured in Dallas to its global markets.
