Mayor Pro Tem Atkins to deliver school supply packs/
backpacks to District 8 schools tomorrow
What: Mayor Pro Tem Tennell Atkins will deliver school supply packs and backpacks to four District 8 schools. (Backpacks provided courtesy of Metro PCS).
“This event reinforces the Council’s emphasis on education and also supports the goals of the Mayor’s Taskforce on Poverty,” said Mayor Pro Tem Atkins. “It is important that we work closely with Dallas ISD’s Board of Trustees to ensure that our children have the most basic needs, such as school supplies, to support their education.”
When/Where: Tuesday Sept. 9 (times may vary)
9 a.m. – Ronald McNair Elementary School, 3150 Bainbridge Drive
10 a.m. – J.N. Ervin Elementary School, 3722 Black Oak Drive
11 a.m. – Kennedy-Curry Middle School, 6605 Sebring
1 p.m. – Wilmer-Hutchins High School, 5520 Langdon Road
