Atlantas Marine Limited in Yeovil is showing how local businesses can thrive by putting sustainability first. At its HQ, investments in solar energy, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs), and Electric Vehicles (EVs) mean the company operates with zero energy bills – proof that green innovation is good for both the planet and the bottom line.

Councillor David Woan, Associate Lead Member for Business Strategy, recently visited Atlantas Marine to explore opportunities and highlight the support available for Somerset businesses. His visit underlines how the Council is working in partnership to champion local success stories.

Founded in 2020 on Managing Director, Charlie Foll’s kitchen table, Atlantas has grown to employ 11 staff and proudly won the International Trade category of The King’s Awards for Enterprise in 2024. With nearly 20% of South Somerset’s workforce in manufacturing, Atlantas Marine is a shining example of how local firms can achieve global impact while staying rooted in the community.
