Increase in Scam Calls and Emails
The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) is aware of the increased number of scams targeting healthcare professionals. Many of these scammers’ messages appear to come from legitimate DOH staff. Some even go as far as using the names of current DOH employees and email addresses that appear to be from DOH. However, they are fake.
DOH will never call to request banking information or payment of a license fee.
