Somerset powers up with public EV charging across the county

Did you know Somerset is helping with the switch to electric cars by providing EV charging in many public car parks and visitor destinations?

Across the county, there are numerous EV charging stations for public use in car parks, visitor locations, supermarkets, and food and drink venues, which are easily located via the Zap-Map app or Google Maps.

EV drivers can plug-in and pay via dedicated apps or contactless payment cards.

Switching to an EV offers various benefits, such as reduced air pollution, greater energy efficiency, and the support of renewable energy generation.

This is especially advantageous if you have your own PV panels at home and a home charging station, allowing you to use free solar-powered electricity.

Plus, they are great fun to drive!
