Interested in fostering? Join our carers for coffee and cake this April

These informal sessions are a great way to learn more about foster care in a relaxed, friendly setting. No PowerPoint presentations and absolutely no pressure to take your interest any further – just a chance to find out more over a hot drink and a slice of cake (provided free of charge by us).

Our team will be there to share useful information about becoming a foster carer and answer all your questions – from basic requirements and payments, to training and application. We’ll also be joined by local foster carers, providing a valuable opportunity for you to gain a realistic insight into the challenges and rewards of fostering over a coffee, from those who know the role best.

Join us at any one of the following sessions. To help us manage numbers and cater appropriately, please confirm your attendance by booking via the following links:

Thursday 3 April from 6 to 8pm at SHAPE Mendip, Shepton Mallet (Council Chamber)
Thursday 10 April from 6 to 8pm at Chard CommuniTEA Waffle House

Feel free to bring along friends and family. You don’t need to be there for the start time or for the whole session, but we’d recommend arriving by 7.15pm at the latest to allow adequate time.
