The profile is available for ordering now and is called “Newborn Screen Complete Panel (profile)”. The other panels will still show on the search screen, but please select this profile. Under the Alt ID1 column on the search screen you will see “Order this for full panel” which should help you remember what to order.
When you add the profile to the order, the order will show the three panels that make up the newborn screen. The order screen should look like this prior to saving.
If you order one of the other panels instead out of habit, the system should still add the other panels. But, if you notice your order does not contain all 3 panels prior to saving, please add the missing panel to the order.
You should still order the NBS IRT, T4/TSH Repeat Panel for limited testing on a repeat sample if ordered by the physician for a previously abnormal IRT, T4 or TSH. The new profile is for the complete screen.
