Parks and Recreation looks forward to a variety of exciting projects aimed at improving community spaces and enhancing outdoor experiences. While no dates are finalized at this time, here’s a glance at some improvements coming this calendar year:
New Playground: Casas Adobes Park
A fresh playground is coming to Casas Adobes Park. The new play area will feature modern amenities designed for fun and safety, providing a great space for families.
Rillito Vista Park Basketball Court – Removal and Replacement
The basketball court at Rillito Vista Park is set to undergo a complete overhaul. The existing court will be removed and replaced with a new surface, ensuring a better playing experience for basketball players of all ages.
Continental Community Center Sport Court Resurfacing
The sport court at the Continental Community Center is scheduled for resurfacing, enhancing both its safety and playability. This court will be striped for basketball, as well as three pickleball courts. This upgrade will provide an improved space for sports and recreation enthusiasts.
Asphalt Preservation Across the Parks
An asphalt preservation initiative will begin across eight different parks, focusing on maintaining and resurfacing paved pathways, parking lots, and other asphalt areas. This project ensures that all park visitors can continue to enjoy safe, well-maintained spaces.
Shade at the AXN Range
A major enhancement is coming to the AXN Range at the Southeast Regional Park Shooting Range. To provide a more comfortable experience for visitors, a brand-new shade structure will soon be added to the range. This upgrade is designed to offer relief from the hot Arizona sun, ensuring that all participants can enjoy their time at the range, no matter the weather.
Cool Things Happening at Littletown Community Center
HVAC upgrades are on their way to Littletown Community Center this year. These improvements will provide better temperature control and air quality throughout the center, creating a more pleasant environment for patrons year-round.
