Expanding SERV-OR Activities and Membership

SERV-OR may be on the Oregon State Legislature’s radar this session. This new Legislative Concept (LC) has been proposed which would expand policies around state managed volunteer activities and membership. But don’t get ahead of our lawmakers! A Legislative Concept is just a draft of an idea. The draft has been introduced as a measure but must make it past a few more legislative hurdles before it is added as a proposed bill for the 2025 Legislative Agenda.

This bill updates the SERV-OR statutes to:

  1. Allow year-round volunteer activities.
  2. Expand admission criteria to allied health and supporting health care professionals.

You can read about it here: Legislative Concept 426

Please share this legislative concept within professional and personal communities. If you have questions or would like to submit comments regarding the LC, you must contact the assigned Senior Policy Advisor, Em Droge, 971-409-3449; Emily.Droge@oha.oregon.gov
