B. Submit a written grievance to the public body.

If a member of the general public wanted to submit a complaint with OGEC about City Council, they would need to complete the grievance process. The first step is to submit a written grievance to the public body. 

That written grievance needs to be submitted to the public body within 30 days of the alleged violation. The public body then has 21 days to respond.

Once 21 calendar days have passed, or the public body has responded, a complaint can be filed with OGEC.
