Are you passionate about wildlife? We have are recruiting volunteer wildlife surveyors. Working with the Quantock Hills National Landscape team, volunteers will survey various butterfly species groups, which generally involves walking along a fixed route and counting the number of insects that you see and recording this information on a form. Knowledge of the species is helpful, but not essential as full training is provided.

Biodiversity surveying is a key part of conserving and enhancing the National Landscape's rich flora and fauna. Volunteers play a vital role in helping the Landscape Team understand the biodiversity which is within the landscape and plan how to best manage it. .

The Quantock Hills National Landscape Team are hosted by Somerset Council and are majority funded by DEFRA with contributions from local authorities and external funding.
