A devoted Social Work student from Plainfield, New Jersey, is currently in her senior year at Bennett College. In her role as the 44th Miss Bennett College for the 2023-2024 academic year, Callyce showcases remarkable leadership and dedication. Additionally, she serves as the President of the Zeta Xi chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., contributing significantly to the sorority's mission.
Actively engaged since her freshman year, Callyce's journey at Bennett College began as the Freshwoman Class Parliamentarian. Over the years, she has held notable positions, including Miss Social Work 2021-2023, Student Ambassador, Miss Junior 2022-2023, Student Union Activities Board Publicist, and Phi Alpha Honors Society Secretary.
Beyond the campus, Callyce is driven by a passion for continuous learning, embarking on internships since her sophomore year. She initiated her professional journey as a Small Business Market Analyst with the Research Triangle Institute. In her junior year, she interned with CultHealth in New York City, assuming the role of an Account Manager. Currently, she contributes her skills to Guilford County Minority Woman Business Enterprise, showcasing her commitment to community engagement and professional development.
A remarkable achievement in her portfolio is the publication of "Reflections for Black Girls," a reflective journal that underscores the importance of healthy healing and mental health habits for Black girls. Callyce is dedicated to leaving a positive impact wherever she goes, aspiring to be of service to those in need.
In addition to her academic and leadership pursuits, Callyce is currently completing 500 hours as part of the graduation requirements for social work students at Bennett College. This hands-on experience reflects her commitment to honing practical skills and further contributing to her field.
