Connect Somerset success stories - Doreen

This week, Connect Somerset Champion Doreen shares the success of working with The Wessex Learning Trust in Cheddar.

“By working with key members at the trust, I’m able to communicate more effectively with the 12 schools they support and identify any further assistance these schools may need. This could include gaps in current services individual school projects and support for awareness workshops. Recently, we have found funding to provide mental health peer mentoring scheme in one school.

“Building relationships between different sectors helps to ensure as many people as possible can access free training and other support. This collaborative working means we can achieve better outcomes for the most vulnerable students in the area.”
