I would like to nominate Dispatch Supervisor Mandi Parker as Professional Employee of the Month. Mandi has worked for the Fremont Police Department for over 20 years and has extensive knowledge and experience. Mandi holds several duties in the dispatch center, including overseeing our annual shift and schedules signups, making sure that dispatch policies and updates are reviewed by all of the dispatchers and she handles the purchasing of equipment in the center.
Mandi is extremely dedicated to the communication center. This year, our personnel department had an influx of applicants for the position of Communications Dispatcher, a position that had several vacancies. Although Mandi was working several overtime shifts on her days off, she still volunteered to sit on several oral board panels. Her willingness to do this helped expedite the hiring of eight dispatchers in just a four month period.
Mandi oversees the entire Communications Training Officer Program and was responsible for creating a very efficient and effective scheduling system. Once a dispatcher is hired, Mandi creates several of their accounts and sets them up with new equipment. She also helps facilitate the scheduling of inhouse training.
Mandi consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities, maintaining composure during high-pressure situations and orchestrates a cohesive working environment that allows for us to better serve our community. I want to express my sincere gratitude for Mandi’s exemplary service.
