Join us Saturday, September 9, for Taste of Summer, a free community festival from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm at Ellsworth Street and Washington Boulevard in the historic Mission San Jose district. Stroll around the safe and vehicle-free zone to enjoy market vendors, entertainment, kids’ activities, “try-it” exercise classes, food trucks, and community.
A year ago, hundreds of Fremont residents were drawn to this same intersection for Mission San Jose Better Block, a community-building event where 89% of attendees said they wanted to see more of these events. In response, the Mission San Jose Chamber of Commerce started planning more street fairs, starting with Arts Mosaic held last April. The Taste of Summer event on September 9 builds on the successes of Better Block and Arts Mosaic, bringing in even more exciting local vendors and food trucks, and introducing activities for all ages at the Montessori School of Fremont’s parking lot just across the street. Try out a short “Come as You Are” yoga class with Sherri Plaza, shake it up in Zumba with Christina Chua, learn some movie-worthy dance moves with Sun Bollywood, or keep the kids busy with games and art. See you there!
