Clark Foundation

One Stop community project funding

The One Stop Community Partnership is a funding and support programme delivered by Groundwork in partnership with One Stop Stores Ltd, designed to help local organisations make a positive difference in their communities.

It offers grants of up to £1,000, alongside the opportunity to build a longer‑term partnership with a local One Stop store, including support with volunteering, fundraising and raising awareness.

Charities, community organisations, schools, social enterprises, parish councils and other not‑for‑profit organisations operating within 2 miles of a One Stop store can apply by 31 March, for projects focused on priorities such as tackling food poverty, supporting vulnerable people, improving the environment and helping low‑income families.

Farming, growing or forestry businesses based in England can apply for a share of up to £5m for on‑farm trial and demonstration projects to improve the adoption of new ideas or solutions in the agricultural sector.

This ADOPT (Accelerating Development of Practices and Technologies) grant funding opportunity is designed to support farmer‑led, collaborative innovation projects that test new technologies and practices on farms, helping to improve the uptake of new ideas.

Projects must focus on improving one or more of the following areas:

  • Enhancing productivity and profitability
  • Building resilience to challenges such as climate change, food security and market volatility
  • Progress towards achieving net‑zero farming

This funding comes from Defra as part of the Farming Innovation Programme, delivered in partnership with Innovate UK.

SSEN Powering Communities to Net Zero Fund

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) is promoting opportunities for community groups and not‑for‑profit organisations to access funding through its Powering Communities to Net Zero programme, aimed at supporting local action on climate change and decarbonisation. The guidance sets out how eligible organisations can apply for support to develop projects that reduce carbon emissions and strengthen community energy resilience.

It highlights funding for low‑carbon technologies such as renewable energy generation, low‑carbon heating, battery storage and energy efficiency measures, helping communities lower their environmental impact while contributing to the transition to net zero.

Warm Homes Local Grant

The Warm Homes Local Grant, funded by the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero, is helping us reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency in fuel-poor homes. Running from April 2025 to March 2028, the scheme offers free upgrades such as insulation, solar panels and clean heating systems to eligible households. Properties must have an EPC rating of D or below and meet income or benefit criteria. Delivered on our behalf by the Centre for Sustainable Energy, the grant is currently fully subscribed for year one, but applications are open for future funding rounds.
