Good afternoon,
Our records indicate that you use or have recently used a debit card to receive your Unemployment Insurance (UI) payments. Later this month, the Department of Labor (DOL) will transition from KeyBank to Conduent for UI debit card services.
What this means for you:
- The DOL will automatically mail you a new Conduent Way2Go debit card by the end of June 2023. There is no need to call the DOL to request your card, but you can confirm that we have your current address on file or update your address on your Unemployment Services online account at labor.ny.gov/signin.
- Your new debit card will come in in a plain white envelope. When you receive your card, go to GoProgram.com, use the Way2Go Card mobile app, or call Conduent Customer Service at (844) 649-9845 promptly to activate it.
- You can continue to use your KeyBank Key2Benefits Direct Payment Card while there is still a balance. Any existing balance will not be transferred over to your new Conduent card.
- If you are no longer receiving UI benefits and get a new debit card in the mail, please do not throw the card away. This will be the card you use if you receive benefits within the next five years.
The Conduent Way2Go debit card will continue to provide convenient, safe, and secure access to your UI funds, and will be chip-based to provide additional fraud protections.
Please note that the time it takes to get your debit card in the mail may delay your receipt of UI benefits. You can register for direct deposit at any time via your online account at labor.ny.gov/signin to avoid this delay.
For more information and FAQs related to this bank change, please visit the DOL’s website.
Thank you.
