There’s lots of activities in and around our five boroughs, led by local council partners and community groups, to help support positive wellbeing and good mental health. Here’s a selection of some regular activities, online sessions or extra support currently available.

Meridian Wellbeing – Barnet Wellbeing Hub

Share reading group – every Monday This group brings people together through great literature to talk, laugh and share. You can just drop in, grab a tea of coffee and enjoy listening to a story or poem – there’s no pressure to talk or read. The session takes place every Monday from 10.30am-12pm and is led by Liz, a trained Reader Leader for the organisation The Reader. Registration for this activity is required. Andy's Man Club - every Monday, 7pm Andy's Man Club is a men's peer to peer support group. This men's only support group runs every Monday at 7pm. The address is: Maritage Centre, Church End, Hendon NW4 4JT.

 'We run talking groups for men who have either been through a storm, are currently going through a storm or have a storm brewing in life.'

Stay active and connect – Tuesdays, 11am-1pm Each week a different physical activity is available for all. The activity session will take place between 11am to 12pm, followed by an hour of light refreshments and opportunity to socialise with others. This session takes place every Tuesday at the Meritage Centre. Registration for this activity is required - to register click here

Sit, Stand, Walk, Talk - Tai Chi for Wellbeing This free ‘Sit, Stand, Walk, Talk - Tai Chi for Wellbeing’ programme has been specifically designed for older Islington residents living with long-term and debilitating health conditions to help improve their physical, mental and social wellbeing.
