Firstly, she'd be mortified to learn that she's leading off this section, but it would be remiss not to mention that Janice Wray leaves us this week after more than 30 years of sterling service with the Council. Always approachable and thoroughly dependable, Janice has made a massive contribution to the delivery of Housing services during her time in Housing Management. We wish her well.
At the other end of their K&C career paths, we start with two recent additions to the No Recourse to Public Funds and Special Projects Team.
"I’m Sylvie (Dulson) and I’m one of the new Transformation Officers joining the NRPF and Special Projects Team. I’m a trainee on the National Graduate Development Programme and have just come from my placement in Early Help, which has set me up nicely for this new role!"
The other new Transformation Officer joining the NRPF team is Hibo-Nuura Yussuf. Hibo told HH "I am thrilled to be joining the No Recourse to Public Funds and Special Projects Team...I am eager to contribute to the team's great work thus far, and support our new arrivals during this challenging time in their lives."
Tina Mistry joins the Fire Safety Team as one of three Building Safety Managers. She joins us from Aico, the UK’s leading Fire & CO alarm manufacturer. She will be focusing on ensuring all our buildings are compliant with the new Building Safety Act 2022 and continuing the great resident engagement work the team have been carrying out.
Tina told us that she’s “immensely proud to have joined RBKC to work alongside you all make a difference to the lives of residence in the borough”
Liona Burton joins the Major Works team as the second Resident Liaison Manager. She has a background working in the construction industry as a Resident Liaison officer and Social Values manager.
Liona told us that “This is the first time I have worked for a council and I look forward to combining my skills and knowledge to build improve relationships with our residents.”
On 10 April, the Housing Response Team welcomed another trio of Housing Response Officers to their ranks - Ayesha Aljaberi, Modupeoluwa Fatunke and Eugene Shakespeare. They will field front-line calls and emails, rotate across different tasks and assist residents with tenancy, maintenance, leasehold, rent, and service charge issues, parking questions and proactively be a part of customer service.
