Kilmarnock nurse receives Queen's Nurse Award

Congratulations to NHS A&A senior nurse Lauren Speirs, who recently received the prestigious Queen's Nurse Award from the Queen's Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS).
Lauren was nominated for her work in the implementation of Community Treatment and Care services and in supporting newly qualified practitioners joining the service.
Following a nine-month programme, which included a week-long residential workshop, Lauren received the accolade along with 19 other nurses and midwives at an awards ceremony in the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Edinburgh.
Each received a Queen’s Nurse badge, designed by Silversmiths Ortak, a certificate, and a specially commissioned Harris Tweed sash or tie, presented by Chief Nursing Officer Professor Alex McMahon.
Fantastic work Lauren! You’re a true asset to NHS Ayrshire & Arran and EAHSCP.
