Our Resilience Group recently participated in a ‘table top’ exercise designed to test our response to an emergency situation in a care home.
Colleagues from Scottish Care, Police Scotland and care homes joined us to explore roles, responsibilities and procedures across our partnership working when faced with a critical scenario.
We received the following comments from the Resilience Group:
“The exercise tested the procedures which enable staff to work together to develop an emergency response in the event of a care home fire. It also helped everyone to gain an awareness of processes and procedures.
The exercise was deemed a success, with very positive feedback from those who attended.”
