Spooky fun at care home Halloween parties

Care homes across East Ayrshire recently got involved in some great Halloween celebrations.

Staff and residents from Torrance Lodge, Thorntoun Estate, Springhill, Craigie and Grange care homes enjoyed a packed programme of festivities, including fancy dress, dancing, Halloween bingo, party games, and spooky buffets with plenty of Halloween themed treats. Residents were even treated to a game of dooking for apples.

Lindsay, Activity Co-ordinator at Springhill Nursing Home, told us about some of thing their residents got up to:

“What great fun we’ve had at Springhill! We had a ukulele band, Stuart the accordionist and a fun Halloween party with lots of dancing and games. Annanhill Primary School also came along to see us and drew lovely pictures for the residents, which they displayed in their rooms.”

Sounds like everyone had a scream!
