The NDA group | Inclusion Bulletin
The NDA group now has five employee networks which are open to all employees and contractors across the NDA group organisations. By supporting underrepresented employee groups, our networks drive inclusion and foster a sense of belonging. They offer a safe space for employees to feel heard, valued, engaged and to share experiences. It’s also a great opportunity for people to join as allies.
Our networks also play a huge part in driving improvements across our group and employee experiences and insights will help to shape our strategy, policies, and initiatives as we move forward with our D&I journey.
Our group Inclusion Strategy focuses on employee voice with our networks helping us as a business to identify gaps and improvements, bringing new ways to look at issues and drive innovation.
The gender balance network aims to support and accelerate progress to achieve an improved gender balance across the NDA group, where all genders have equal opportunities in the workplace. Get involved by emailing OneNDAGBN@nda.gov.uk or Helen.M.Cassidy@llwrsite.com.
The race equality network provides an additional platform to advance equality, diversity and inclusivity of ethnic minorities and provides a safe support forum to share experiences and discuss relevant issues. Get involved by emailing OneRaceEquality@nda.gov.uk or mehboob.vadiya@ntsglobal.uk.
The disability network provides mutual support and acts as a collective voice for disabled colleagues and aims to promote positive attitudes and raise awareness of disability equality by encouraging dialogue across the group to ensure workplaces are accessible and inclusive. Get involved by emailing ndadisabilitynetwork@nda.gov.uk or Fiona.Weightman@nda.gov.uk (Secretary).
The LGBT+ network promotes the safety, equality, and wellbeing of LGBT+ colleagues and plays an active role in growing a supportive community of allies. It provides access to LGBT+ events, research publications, workshops, webinars, and opportunities to build a group-wide community. Get involved by emailing OneLGBT@nda.gov.uk or Sand.Owsnett@dounreay.com.
The Meno Hub network raises awareness of the impacts of menopause on colleagues, which has led to a greater awareness of menopause in the workplace and created an excellent sharing platform and forum where colleagues can talk openly in a safe environment. Get involved by visiting the Meno Hub page or emailing claire.renney@nda.gov.uk.
