GASO and Limited-Time Extra Benefits
Smokers across Oklahoma are encouraged to quit tobacco for a day, or a lifetime, during the Great American Smokeout (GASO) on November 17. Since 1970, the event has symbolized a new beginning for tobacco users around the country. Last year, hundreds of Oklahomans utilized Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline services during GASO. Each year, millions of Americans participate in GASO by putting down their tobacco products.
This year, they will have an additional incentive quit – after a successful run earlier this year, the Helpline is once again offering a special limited-time offer starting October 31 and running throughout the month of November. During this time, Oklahomans who sign up for the Helpline’s All Access plan will get at least eight weeks of patches, gum or lozenges and five Quit Coach calls for free. That’s four times more than normally offered!
