Looking Back & Looking Forward

It certainly is with mixed emotions and much gratitude as I retire from my position as Executive Director, over my 31-year career with the BOSW.  It has been an honor and privilege to serve with such amazing staff, board members, partners, and stakeholders always with an eye toward collaborating and shaping relevant regulation. I am very grateful to be involved in important public service with so many quality leaders and will treasure my career with the BOSW.

As I move into a new chapter in my life, I wish everyone well in the very important work we do for the people of Minnesota, the social work profession, and beyond!  I wish Youa Yang, LICSW, new Executive Director, great success with the BOSW.  I trust future BOSW leadership and staff will strive to sustain our public protection mission, guided by a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion through licensing and regulation of the social work profession!  Moving forward there are many challenges and opportunities for the BOSW and the profession requiring collaboration, constructive strategies, tenacity, and creativity.  Thanks so much for your strong support during my tenure, during this important transition, and into new chapters for all.
