Pathfinder Project brings technology to Galston Gala Day

This month, Louise and Aimee (pictured) from the Pathfinder Project attended the Galston Gala Day to get locals' thoughts and feedback on the project.

The Pathfinder Project seeks to transform local health and care systems, working towards prevention and self-management whilst incorporating relevant digital technology.

The team has facilitated a number of engagement events over the past two years; however, this event was particularly interesting as they were looking for feedback on some exciting prototypes.

First up for discussion was the proposed creation of a Digital Hub within the Irvine Valley - a multi-purpose space for the community that could be used to learn about Smart Supports on offer from HSCP, attend virtual doctors’ appointments, learn about technology and even help people access the internet.

The team also trialed the idea of a TEC Bus that could operate throughout the whole of East Ayrshire, offering a Digital Hub on wheels!

Both ideas were really well received and the team would like to thank everyone who engaged with the stall on the day.

Next up for the Pathfinder Team is analysing the feedback and bringing solutions into reality.
