Congratulations to newly qualified Mental Health Officers

Two of our social workers have successfully completed Postgraduate Certificates in Mental Health, each gaining the necessary qualification to become Mental Health Officers.

Clare Louden and Joyce Kilpatrick will now be officially appointed as Mental Health Officers by the Chief Social Work Officer on behalf of East Ayrshire Council.

Both Clare and Joyce achieved a Merit on this Masters programme – a remarkable result despite balancing their studies alongside social work responsibilities within busy Community Care teams.

Mental Health Co-ordinator, Elaine Davison, welcomed the new recruits:

“Clare and Joyce will make a welcome addition to the Mental Health service, which has experienced unprecedented levels of demand in recent months.

A big ‘thank you’ also to the staff who supported them through the course, with a particular mention to Ali Park (MHO) in her role as Practice Assessor.”

Congratulations again to Clare and Joyce for all their hard work!
