Below we explain more about the creation of the NDA group’s new waste management organisation.
What is Nuclear Waste Services?
We’ve created Nuclear Waste Services within the NDA group to bring together the long-established expertise of site operator Low Level Waste Repository Limited, Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) developer Radioactive Waste Management Limited, and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority group’s Integrated Waste Management Programme.

Our Integrated Waste Management Programme promotes innovation and efficiencies in new waste management capability, identifying opportunities to manage waste better.
Waste Services provides waste management services and solutions to customers throughout the UK, covering the full waste lifecycle.
Waste Operations manages and operates the Low Level Waste Repository in Cumbria.
Major Capital Programmes delivers large-scale capital projects, starting with siting and construction of the UK's GDF infrastructure.
