Summer Reading Program: Beyond the Beaten Path

| There is still plenty of time to join the Summer Reading Program! Read Beyond the Beaten Path is this year’s Summer Reading theme. The free program runs until August 6 and is designed to encourage readers of all ages to read for pleasure during the summer. To sweeten the deal, participants receive registration prizes from local eateries as well as opportunities to earn incentives along the way. Storytime is Back in Session!
|
Bring your beach blanket and join us weekly for songs, stories, sun and fun during Beach Blanket Storytime in Library Park! Preschool Storytime is offered on Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and is for ages 3 to 5 years old. Baby/Toddler Storytime takes place on Wednesdays, 10:00 a.m. to 10:20 a.m. and is appropriate for children ages 0 to 2 years. Beach Blanket Storytime runs through August 3.

Crafternoons Are Back!
| We invite children ages 5 to 12 years to join us for Crafternoons in Library Park. Each week an age-appropriate craft is led by Library staff. Crafternoons runs through August 3. Children under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult. |
Teens Get Crafty During Crafteen
| Teens ages 12 to 17 are invited to join their friends and meet other teens during this series of fun craft activities! No registration is required. Supplies are included while they last! Crafteen takes place in the Library’s Community Room, except on August 2, when we will meet at Stuft Pizza for pizza, drinks and crafts! Crafteen takes place on Tuesdays, 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. |
Teen Writing Series

| Join us on Wednesday, June 15th, 3:00 – 3:45 p.m. in Library Park as we kick off our Summer Reading Program with Mad Science! Make some waves that make some noise in this fun and earthshaking show. Children will get tuned into science with exciting demonstrations and experiments that focus on the science of sound. For more information, please contact the Youth Services desk at 310-524-2726. |
