  Rodney Copes, PT, MBA, &
  Jeffrey Foucrier, PT, DPT.

 

Rodney Copes, PT, MBA, joined the Washington State Board of Physical Therapy in August 2021. Mr. Copes earned his physical therapy degree from the University of Connecticut in 1996, and went on to earn his MBA through Jones University in 2004. After initially planning to work with athletes, Mr. Copes found his passion working with patients in skilled nursing facilities. After graduating from the University of Connecticut, Mr. Copes started his career with a brief stint as a travelling physical therapist, and he is currently a physical therapist at Linden Grove Rehabilitation Center in Puyallup, Washington.

In addition to his position at the rehabilitation center, Mr. Copes has been providing peer reviews for Tivity Health, a company based in Franklin Tenn., since 2014. His experience doing insurance investigations is what led to his interest in serving on the Board of Physical Therapy, along with his passion to ensure patients and consumers are protected through proper regulation of the profession.

Jeffrey Foucrier, PT, DPT, OCS, joined the Washington State Board of Physical Therapy in August 2021. Dr. Foucrier works as an Assistant Professor at Tufts University and practices at Heart of Wellness, an inter-professional primary care center in Tumwater, WA. He is certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He has earned certifications as a myofascial pain and vertigo specialist which he incorporates into both his educational and clinical pursuits. His clinical passions include orthopedics and chronic pain with an emphasis in inter-professional prophylactic care, community-based outpatient therapy and sports medicine. 

His experience in teaching clinical models of practice, ethics and professional responsibilities in practice, development of public health initiatives, as well as clinical work with at-risk populations has led to his interest in serving on the Board of Physical Therapy.
