The project proposals were selected based on their impact to responding directly to a need that helps improve the lives of constituents in their respective districts. In 2021, City staff presented a small handful of priority projects to Congressman Ro Khanna and Congressman Eric Swalwell and two were selected and funded with passage of the 2022 Government Funding Bill.
