The pandemic ended tours of the physical space, and requests for a virtual alternative emerged. In response, OCPL created the new NLM Welcome Page to introduce visitors to the world’s largest biomedical library by highlighting NLM’s cutting-edge research, rich historical collections, and everything in between. Please take a few moments to visit the page and go on a tour with us!

Meet Lauren Porter, PhD – an NLM tenure-track investigator in the Intramural Research Program. Dr. Porter is researching proteins – specifically fold-switching proteins – which act like transformers because they can change their structures and functions in response to changes in their environments. Proteins play many critical roles in the body. You can find out more about Dr. Porter and other investigators here.
