ANNOUNCEMENT

Judge Peter L. Nault Passes Away

King County District Court is saddened to announce that Judge Peter L. Nault passed away on July 19, 2019.

Judge Nault’s most recent judicial assignment was hearing civil cases at King County District Court’s Issaquah courthouse location. Having won election to the King County District Court bench several times, Judge Nault was last elected to the court’s Northeast Electoral Division in November 2018.

A friend, mentor and colleague to many people throughout district court, Judge Nault’s prior experience includes serving as a deputy prosecuting attorney, and as an administrative law judge for the cities of Bothell, Duvall, Issaquah, Kirkland, Mercer Island and Redmond. The Washington Trial Lawyers honored Judge Nault as “Judge of the Year” in 2000.
