Family Resource Centers
Get the help and resources you need at our Family Resource Centers. They help children, families, and communities thrive. We design each resource center with unique services to meet the needs of the community around it. In August, we referred families to more than 61,000 community resources. We also offered dozens of classes, support, community events, and meetings.

Kids need to develop skills to connect with others in healthy ways. Friendships aren’t always easy—sometimes they’re hard to navigate. Fortunately, you can help your child develop important friendship skills that will last a lifetime! Here’s how:
- Encourage them to be a good friend—show kindness, share, and listen.
- Teach them how to take turns and be patient with others.
- Practice active listening through making eye contact and responding thoughtfully.
- Help them understand others’ feelings by asking how someone might feel in a situation.
- Guide them in resolving conflicts in a calm and respectful manner.
With your support, they’ll learn to build healthy, lasting friendships and handle challenges with confidence. Discover more about developing friendship skills in kids. (Español).
