A New Chapter for the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods

  • As we plan for the upcoming year, we are excited to welcome Quynh Pham to the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. Quynh will soon step in as the department’s Acting Director. Current Deputy Director, Sam Read will fill in as Interim Director until that time.
  • In reflecting on the accomplishments and progress of this time, we want to acknowledge the steadfast leadership of Director Jenifer Chao.

We want you to join our team of Community Liaisons!

We are looking for part-time, paid contractors to work on outreach and engagement for the City of Seattle, on behalf of the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods.

Apply if you:

  • Have close ties and relationships in the East African, Korean, and/or Vietnamese communities,
  • Understand your communities' issues, and
  • Want to bridge divides between the City and your community!

Community Liaisons (CLs) perform important roles as facilitators, translators, and experts on community concerns. They help deliver feedback from the community to the City and get the word out about City resources available to the community.
