Please Join SDOT Director Greg Spotts at Green Lake Park and get to know our electric bike lane sweeper

Greetings Neighbors,

Please join us this Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 10 AM for a family-friendly “Touch-a-Truck” event introducing our eBroomer bike lane sweeper. SDOT Director Greg Spotts will be available to share information about our eVehicle initiatives, and an operator will explain how the bike lane sweeper works and its benefits.

We’re following Mayor Harrell’s 2022 Climate and Transportation Justice Executive Order and conducting four to six pilot programs to transition SDOT’s fleet to electric vehicles. The first pilot program is testing the Schmidt’s eSwingo 200+ electric bike lane sweeper. SDOT has rented it for six months to see how well it works in Seattle’s weather and landscape. To learn more about our eBroomer Pilot Program, please click here
