We're working to close the digital divide

As national Digital Inclusion Week comes to a close, it’s an opportunity to reflect on the progress we’ve made in Seattle to close the digital divide and the work that remains. Seattle residents are more connected than ever, with 95% of households reporting internet access. Yet, 21% of households with incomes under $25,000 do not have internet access, according to our 2018 Technology Access and Adoption Study. Working to achieve digital equity is one way we can help close the opportunity gap for low-income families and communities of color. You can learn more about this important work in the City’s Digital Equity Progress Report.
