Redmond Police Investigating Alleged Threats Toward Rose Hill Middle School

REDMOND, WA - Redmond Police are investigating reports of alleged threats toward Rose Hill Middle School (RHMS) for Monday, Jan. 29.

At this time, the threats remain unverified. Officers are working with the Lake Washington School District safety and risk management and school administrators to ensure the safety of students and faculty at RHMS and all Redmond campuses. Out of an abundance of caution, there will be increased police presence at RHMS during school hours on Monday.

“Thanks to students who shared the social media threats with their parents, Redmond Police and Lake Washington School District personnel were able to immediately begin investigating the legitimacy of the threats and work to keep everyone safe,” Redmond Police Chief Darrell Lowe said.

Police are continuing to investigate and work with the school district to identify potential suspects. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Redmond Police Department at 425-556-2500.
