Redmond, WA – Santa and his elves from the Redmond Fire Department will be visiting neighborhoods aboard the Vintage Fire Truck every evening from Dec. 3 through Dec. 20. They will hand out candy and collect non-perishable food, unwrapped toys and monetary donations for Hopelink, a non-profit program working to end poverty in the community.

Santa will visit the neighborhoods each night between the hours of 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and his progress can be observed through the “Santa Tracker” website at http://gis.redmond.gov/Santa/. This site also lists Santa’s upcoming routes and schedules for each evening in December.

Santa’s sleigh and elves are made possible by the Redmond Firefighters Union, IAFF Local 2829. The Redmond Firefighters Union will provide up to $500 in matching donations. Please join Santa as he passes through your neighborhood and consider a donation for those in need this season. Since it will be dark, make sure children and adults dress for the weather and are more visible by wearing reflective, light-colored outerwear.

More information on Santa’s sleigh schedule can be found at redmond.gov/santa. We also encourage people to look at the Facebook page facebook.com/RedmondSantaTruck and submit photos of your neighborhood when Santa visits. This Facebook page will also have up-to-date information on Santa’s location and any schedule changes due to weather.
