Hear a Boom this Fourth of July? Know who to call.
Fireworks are illegal in the City of Lynnwood
LYNNWOOD WA (June 27, 2024)- The safety of our community is paramount this summer, especially around the Fourth of July holiday. Even though it is illegal to discharge fireworks in Southwest Snohomish County, you may hear or see them being used in your neighborhood.
Law enforcement including Lynnwood Police Department enforces the fireworks ban. Our dispatchers receive higher than average call volumes leading up to and following the Fourth of July holiday, which limits law enforcement’s availability to answer every call.
If you have complaints related to noise or illegal fireworks use, with no threat to life or property, call the non-emergency number 425-407-3999. Please have the exact address of your complaint. If there is an immediate threat to life or property, call 911.
Please note that the City of Lynnwood's social media accounts, including those of the Lynnwood Police Department, are not monitored 24/7 and should not be used to report emergencies.
On behalf of the City of Lynnwood, we wish you a happy, fun and safe Fourth of July!
