Crews will reduce traffic to a single lane on SW 108th St between 4th Ave SW and 1st Ave SW from Mon. Oct. 20 to Fri. Oct. 31, from 8 am to 11:30 am each day. This restriction allows crews room to repair cracked and damaged sidewalks, which are a barrier to mobility for many people.

In order to fix this section of sidewalk on SW 108th St, the county will:

Remove two trees that are causing the sidewalk to buckle.
Replace 24 sidewalk panels and trim tree roots on six trees.
Fill the area with gravel to make the sidewalk level and flat
Place non-slip aluminum panels on top of the tree roots to preserve as many trees as possible.
Some sidewalk panels will be paved.

No parking will be available alongside the work zone.

Flaggers will direct traffic. All vehicles will have access through the work zone.
