Ames Lake-Carnation Rd NE between W Snoqualmie Valley Road NE and NE 52nd Street will reopen to the public on April 25, 2025, before 5 p.m.
Crews have been working hard over the past 10 months to replace the 100-year-old Ames Lake Trestle Bridge on this vital east-west corridor with a wider, more stable structure that increases sight distance for drivers and provides a safe, unrestricted crossing for trucks and vehicles of all sizes.
We are very grateful to the community for your patience and cooperation during this project.
For more information, visit MyCommute or the project website.
Lane striping and pavement grooving is complete along the bridge. The bridge will reopen to the public on April 25, 2025, by 5 p.m. The community is asked to continue using alternative routes until the bridge is officially reopened.
The bridge crosses Ames Creek on Ames Lake-Carnation Road NE, in rural unincorporated King County between Redmond, WA and Carnation, WA.
