We're turning 21 on August 31st this summer! Happy Birthday Kenmore! It's time to celebrate. Here's your list of at least 21 things to do this summer. Go ahead. Be an overachiever and do it all.  

  1. Take a guided nature walk at Wallace Swamp Creek -  June 18th (3rd Tuesdays of the month at 9am)
  2. Read and walk through a PopUp StoryWalk
  3. Learn a fun new skill or craft with “Just Get Me Started
  4. Meet your neighbors at the Kenmore Pride Picnic on June 22 at 1pm in the Town Square
  5. Visit the City Hall art gallery
  6. Feed your family and have fun with firetrucks at the Northshore Fire Open House and Pancake Breakfast – June 22 at 9am
  7. Support local Girl Scouts and your pets – Pet Fair is June 29
  8. Try rowing or paddling with the Kenmore Waterfront Activities Center
  9. Experience a traditional pole-raising ceremony at Skandia Midsommarfest - June 30 11am at Saint Edwards
  10. Bike the Burke-Gilman or hike at Saint Edward State Park 
  11. Have a celebratory toast on Brew Row with Cairn Brewing, 192 Brewing Co. and Nine Yards Brewing (only if you are as old as Kenmore!)
  12. Say “ooh and aah!” at City of Kenmore’s 4th of July fireworks
  13. Relax at one of six different City of Kenmore summer concerts at Saint Edward State Park 
  14. Catch an outdoor Movie @the Square in Downtown Kenmore
  15. Laugh at Kenmore’s Community Club Comedy night - July 12
  16. Hear the bells and whistles of a theater organ Kenmore Heritage Society benefit – July 14
  17. See a play - Kenmore Quickies – short play festival – July 26-8
  18. Meet your Kenmore Police or plan a National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6th
  19. Submit a photo to the Kenmore Heritage Society Photo Contest - Sept 14-21
  20. Help clean up our parks and walk the Heritage trail on Jack Crawford Day - Oct 19
  21. And last, but not least....reach out to a new neighbor in your area and invite them to any of the above!
