Apple Health (Medicaid) Provider Alert

Attention mental health services providers:

The Health Care Authority (HCA) has updated the Mental Health Services Billing Guide.

Revisions to this billing guide include:

Brief Emotional/Behavioral Assessment – Added a brief service description in Part I, Clinical Service Descriptions, to clarify policy.
Infant-Early Childhood Mental Health (IECMH) Treatment Models Toolkit - Added for providers
Collaborative Assessments – Added a new section to Parts I and II to clarify policy.
Clozapine (Clozaril®) Case Management and Monitoring – Added a new section with updated policy and billing guidance. This content was relocated from the Physician-Related Services Billing Guide.
Mental Health Attestation form – Renamed to the Children and Youth Mental Health Provider Attestation form (HCA 13-951 (5/26)). The form and accompanying FAQ have been updated to add Behavioral Health Support Specialists (BHSS) and to clarify the age reference as age 18 and younger.
