What changed?

Apple Health (Medicaid) Audio-Only Behavioral Health Procedure Code List

Effective for dates of service on and after July 1, 2025, the Health Care Authority (HCA) added a new section to the audio-only behavioral health procedure code list for HCPCS codes billable for Reentry Targeted Case Management (rTCM). This new section includes information on which modifiers must be used when billing for rTCM services.

Apple Health (Medicaid) Audio-Only Physical Health Procedure Code List

Effective for dates of service on and after July 1, 2025, HCA added HCPCS codes T1023, T2022, and T2023 to the audio-only physical health procedure code list. These codes are billable under the Reentry Targeted Case Management (rTCM) Billing Guide. Providers must use audio-only modifier 93 when billing for services provided via audio-only telemedicine in addition to the appropriate rTCM modifier.

The revised lists may be viewed and downloaded from HCA’s Provider billing guides and fee schedules webpage under Telehealth.
