E&T center and SWMS fee-for-service rates update

Evaluation & treatment (E&T) center and Secure Withdrawal Management (SWMS) fee-for-service rates are moving from the professional fee schedule to the hospital inpatient fee schedule

Effective October 1, the Health Care Authority (HCA) is moving the E&T and SWMS rates from the mental health services and substance use disorder professional fee schedules to the inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) hospital rate sheet.

The hospital inpatient fee schedule for the published rates will be located in both the mental health and substance use disorder billing guide sections.

HCA will revise the inpatient prospective payment system to reflect this change.
