Prescription Drug Affordability Board to hold first meeting October 20

On Friday, October 20, the Prescription Drug Affordability Board (PDAB) will meet at the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) in Olympia, Washington. The meeting will also be broadcast on Zoom.

What is PDAB?

PDAB is a five-member board tasked with the following duties:

Identify drugs that may be subject to an affordability review
Conduct affordability reviews on selected eligible drugs
Determine whether a prescription drug is unaffordable for Washington consumers
If a drug is found to be unaffordable, the Board may set an upper payment limit

Can I provide public comment or testimony?

Yes. Meetings are open to the public and your input is a crucial part of PDAB. Each Board meeting will have a designated time for public comment.

Email PDAB to sign up for public comment. Written comments can be submitted by Wednesday, October 18.

If you would like to speak at the meeting, the committee chair will ask if there are any other stakeholders. Use the "raise hand" function in Zoom. You will be unmuted and asked to answer conflict-of-interest disclosure questions on the screen. You will have 3 minutes to speak after your introduction.
